True to her name, Sunnie is a gentle, sweet-natured puppy who is quietly blossoming into a confident, happy companion. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new things, she has made incredible progress in foster care and continues to surprise us every day.
Sunnie is mostly calm and easygoing, with the occasional burst of hilarious puppy zoomies that will have you smiling. When she’s happy, her entire body wiggles with excitement, and there’s nothing she loves more than spending time with her people and canine friends.
She is about 90% housetrained, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate, and is highly motivated by both food and praise. Sunnie already knows sit and come, and she’s great on a leash. She’s also a fantastic passenger in the car and settles in beautifully for rides. She’s such a smart puppy.
She absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a friendly canine companion to help continue building her confidence and provide a playmate. She also does well with cats, enjoying the occasional gentle chase before moving on. She would fit into many different types of homes and would likely love a family with respectful children or another playful dog to help keep her entertained.
Like many puppies, Sunnie is still learning. She will resource guard her food bowl from other dogs, so mealtimes should be managed separately. Outside of her own meals, she happily enjoys treats alongside other dogs and does not resource guard toys or anything from people.
She is looking for a family who will continue to encourage her, celebrate her progress, and give her the love she deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, extremely adorable, affectionate companion whose happy little wiggles will brighten your day for years to come.
