Kenzo is an adorable 8-year-old Chihuahua with a gentle soul, a love of life’s simple pleasures. He loves people and visitors are always greeted with his proud little “Arfs!” and lots of excitement before he settles in to make a new friend. Once the introductions are over, he’s happiest just being wherever you are. Whether you’re working, watching TV, or making a cup of coffee, Kenzo will be right by your side making sure he doesn’t miss a thing.
If there’s one thing Kenzo takes seriously, it’s mealtime! Breakfast is celebrated with his signature happy dance, and if it were up to him, there would also be a second breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, dinner, and maybe even a second supper! Once his tummy is full, he’s ready for one of his favourite hobbies—napping. At bedtime, Kenzo loves to burrow under the blankets before settling in for a cozy night’s sleep, where he’ll snooze soundly until breakfast rolls around again.
Kenzo enjoys leisurely walks where the journey is much more important than the destination. He’s in no rush and believes every flower, blade of grass, and interesting scent deserves a proper sniff. He’s generally a quiet little guy, but he’s not afraid to let out a confident “Arf!” if another dog or someone walking by catches his attention.
Kenzo enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely love having a calm canine companion, especially if he’s left home alone. While he has been around cats, we feel he’d be happiest in a cat-free home.
He’s currently working on his basic commands and his house training and is eager to learn with a little patience, consistency, and lots of praise.
Kenzo also needs his teeth brushed every evening to help keep his smile healthy. The good news is he’s wonderfully cooperative! Wrap him up in a cozy blanket, and he’s happy to lie down while you brush his teeth and give him the extra one-on-one attention.
