Meet Rita, the cutest, loveable menace on earth! Rita came from a shelter, so not much is known about her background. But that doesn’t matter, because whatever her past was, she’s too busy looking forward to give it a thought.
Rita is a wonderful mix of thoughtful observation, and puppy zoomies. Her personality is miles high (as are her ears), and she’s adjusted to her foster home and oddball foster siblings without missing a beat. They are BIG, and she plays hard to match their style, ending with a long, deep nap. When she’s in a play groove and they’re not looking to jive, she’s also very understanding and makes her own entertainment.
Since the disconcerting strangeness of life in a shelter, followed by a long transport to her rescue, she’s found her stride through routine and consistency in her foster home. With a close eye to timing, she’s now getting a solid grasp on house training. She’s not keen on her crate, but has decided, after all, that it’s a good place to be at night. Daytime is still a work in progress. But she’s SMART, and catches on quickly. She already boasts a long list of circus tricks, and loves to engage and learn.
Rita doesn’t much like the really cold days, but above -15 you’ll find her racing around the backyard, searching for buried treasure in the snow, and tearing along the forest trails, stick in tow, trying to keep up with her foster siblings. And good luck passing her on the sidewalk without being drawn in for a visit – in her eyes, everybody is a petting prospect.
