Maylah may be from the sunny beaches of Antigua, but she has decided to embrace her new Canadian life! Despite taking some time to acclimate to our colder temperatures, she has learned that snow is fun!
Her favourite activities include running through fresh piles of snow and taste testing every snowbank (for quality control of course). Maylah is always excited to meet new people and may try to greet them with a hug (or two). She is interested in other dogs but can take time to warm up to them. Maylah lives with cats and does well, even though she can’t understand why they refuse to play fetch with her. She has a lot of energy and would do well with someone that has an active lifestyle. She loves going on walks and is excited to explore all the new smells and sounds around her. She is learning that the human on the leash has smaller legs and is practicing her “slow down” and “wait” skills, with consistent training she will keep improving. She loves playing tug of war and fetch, although returning the ball is optional. Her favourite way to pass time is to chew her toys on top of someone as if to say, “Look what I have! Aren’t you jealous?!”
Whoever said you can’t have brains and beauty clearly never met Maylah! Since arriving she has already learned sit, lie down, and paw. She is very easy to train and learns things very fast. Maylah is mostly potty trained; she prefers going outside but will also use puppy pads if needed. She currently needs breaks about every 2 hours and may need pad access overnight.
Maylah is up to date on core vaccinations, microchipped and spayed.
