Zander is a rambunctious and playful boy full of love for his people. He is perfectly house trained and has been working on crate training with great success so far! He settles down much faster in the crate when left alone, if outside of the crate he may bark when you first leave. For the most part Zander is super good at staying quiet, it is only when he gets excited for a walk that he will bark, but he will stop as soon as he is picked up. That being said he does have a loud ‘voice’ for a little guy but even in an apartment it has been more than manageable.
Zander is a super social pup who loves meeting any person or animal. He is great with kids, he may be a little shy at first but he warms up to them quickly. He plays well with dogs of any size and loves to chase them. His previous owners said he was also good with cats.
Zander is medium to high energy and is always up for a long walk, run or play session. He will let you know if the walk wasn’t long enough by lying down and refusing to go back in with his best puppy eyes.
Zander is working on his leash skills, he is pretty good with a harness although his preferred walking pace is a sprint (but his sprint is really just a fast walk for humans). That being said he is very easy to correct and is super responsive to cues from his handler. When Zander is excited, he has a tendency to ‘steal’ a sock or two and parade it around the house but he never chews or damages them. He is full of endless love, kisses and snuggles for his people. He is incredibly curious and loves exploring new places.
Zander would likely thrive in a home with another playmate for him whether it’s a dog or human!
Zander is up to date on core vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.
