Name: Grimm
Age: 2 years
Breed: American Bully
Size: Medium (63lbs)
Grimm is one of the sweetest, goofiest and happiest pups you will ever meet. This sweet guy is endlessly curious about the world around him and loves to observe, explore, and follow his people wherever they go. Above all he wants pets and attention from his humans. He loves being sung silly songs, cuddling, and giving kisses. He is both crate and house trained. He has been left loose when his foster family is out and has not been destructive. That being said, he is a Bully and cannot be trusted with any sort of food that is left out or easy access to garbage.
Overall, Grimm is a quiet dog and rarely barks. When he is really happy or excited, he may let out a short howl or “talk” to you. He is medium energy, your typical house hippo. He loves to nap next to you while you work or watch TV, but he is also always up for an adventure. He has playful moments throughout the day and enjoys tug or chewing on a hard toy.
Grimm is very well behaved in the house. He has learned sit, paw, other paw and down. He is eager to learn more if treats are involved and has great recall.
Grimm hasn’t had much exposure to kids, but he’d do best with dog-savvy older kids. Cats are a definite no. He has a strong prey drive, especially toward cats and squirrels. He is still working on his leash manners. He generally does well, but if he sees a squirrel he will try to chase it.
Grimm previously lived with other dogs and also spent time with a foster puppy. He has had several positive interactions with other dogs, however he can be selective at times, which may be due to being attacked in the past. He can be strong on leash and may react when he sees other dogs by barking or pulling. With patience and consistency he is improving every day. His reactions can surface when he is nervous, so slow introductions, positive reinforcement and a confident handler who can read his cues are recommended.
After everything he’s been through, Grimm deserves a home where he will feel safe and loved. He has so much love to give and he’s ready for a family who will give him the same in return.
Grimm is neutered, up to date on core vaccines and microchipped.
