Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a one-year-old Cockapoo with a big heart, a soft coat, and a serious passion for snuggles. If I had it my way, I’d be curled up beside you every night and carrying a squeaky toy around during the day.
I’m a little shy when meeting new people—so I like to stick close to someone I trust until I’m sure everyone’s a friend. Treats help. So does a little patience. I never growl (not my thing!), and I’m great with babies, older humans, other dogs and even a cranky cat who lives here at my foster home (I barely chase her upstairs anymore).
Once I’m comfy in my home, I can get a bit barky with new visitors—but I’m just trying to do my job! Give me a few minutes (and maybe another treat), and I’ll be wagging my tail in no time.
I’m fully house trained, good on a leash and pretty solid with basic commands like sit, lie down, and wait. I’ve mastered the left-paw shake—still working on the right!
I’m treat motivated, though I prefer to graze on my food throughout the day. Crates are still a work in progress, but I sleep soundly through the night and don’t make a fuss when left alone in my crate during the day. I just relax and wait for your return like the good girl I am.
I love having a blanket or soft toy to chew on. If I don’t have one nearby, I’ll get… creative. Let’s just say, socks and any other fabrics, beware!
I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard, or with people committed to at least three walks a day—I’ve got energy to burn and so much love to give. Could you be my forever snuggle buddy?
