Name: Pixie
Age: 3 years old+ (approx.)
Breed: Blue Heeler Mix
Meet Pixie – The Toothless Food Bandit with a Tongue Like a Cow and the Cuddles of a Pro! She’s a 3–4-year-old Blue Heeler mix with the body of an athlete, the heart of a snugglebug, and the tongue of a giraffe (seriously, it’s long). She’s medium-sized, fully house trained, and 95% angel… the other 5% is reserved for pantry raids and food heists. This girl lives for love—if she had it her way, she’d be surgically attached to your hip or glued to your couch. She absolutely adores cuddles and will happily melt into your arms like a heated blanket on legs. Invite her up and she’s in; ask her down and she’s off—she’s polite like that.
Pixie has mastered the art of snack theft. Left unattended, she will open your pantry, locate the kibble, and throw herself a party. If food is within tongue’s reach and there are no humans around… it’s already gone. She doesn’t judge your snacking habits—she just wants in on them. Despite having no front teeth (thanks to a dental surgery that saved her from some serious mouth pain), Pixie still eats kibble with her back molars like a champ. Watching her try to pick up toys is half struggle, half comedy special—but she’s so persistent and goofy, she always figures it out.
Pixie can be a bit cautious around new people, especially tall ones who loom like awkward trees. She’ll bark and back up to say “I’m unsure,” but that’s it. Once she warms up, though, she’s pure gold. Outdoors, she’s full of solar-powered zoomies, but inside, she knows how to turn it all off and go into full cuddle-mode. She’s got energy when you want it, and couch-potato vibes when you need it. Basically, she’s your dream dog in a fuzzy, food-motivated package.
So, if you’re looking for a quirky, loving, snack-hunting, snuggle-craving companion with a huge heart (and no front teeth), Pixie is your girl!
Pixie had a rough start in life and was unfortunately diagnosed with hip dysplasia at this young age. She gets a Librela injection on a monthly basis and it’s working wonders.
Pixie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
