My name is Cilantro and I am a 12-week old husky mix. Although I was named for an herb, I identify as a “spice girl”. For my forever family, “I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want!”
I want a large and fenced in backyard where I can safely do my zoomies and I have easy access to the yard for my potty training.
I would love another dog to show me the ropes, as I find the world a bit overwhelming. My new brother or sister needs to be secure enough to put up with my gentle yet persistent playfulness.
I need an active family that will take me on regular walks, preferably in a quiet setting, at least until I get used to the noise of a city. I would prefer a family that will not leave me home alone for extended periods of time.
In return, “I’ll give you everything, on this I swear. Just promise, you’ll always be there”.
Since my arrival in Ottawa, I have learned to walk on leash under the guidance of my foster sisters. I have also learned that I am expected to do my business outside. I am doing a lot better but need to be supervised closely. I have discovered that treats are awesome and am learning tricks quite easily.
I have learned that my crate is my safe place where I go to eat my meals and rest. Most importantly, I have learned that “I need someone with a human touch”. Humans are not as scary as I first thought and I now ask for cuddles from my foster family.
Cilantro is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and will be adopted on a spay contract.
