Meet Helen, the sweetest approximately 8-year-old Boston Terrier who is ready to find her forever home! Despite being mostly blind and deaf (she can see some shadows and can hear loud noises), Helen has shown incredible resilience and spirit on her healing journey and has become really good at navigating her environment both indoors and outside. Since day one and despite having to overcome the challenges of a neglectful past life, she has always been a loving companion who adores everyone she meets—including kids, dogs, and cats.
Helen is also always up for any adventure! She loves paddle boarding and is a fast swimmer, really loving every moment spent outdoors. Whether it’s exploring trails or running freely in open fields, Helen’s adventurous spirit shines through, and she can keep up with the best of them. She is brave and eager to meet new friends, and her determination is inspiring. Helen does need to be carried going down any stairs due to some weakness in her back end and occasional wobbliness from suspected neurological issues, but she can navigate going up the stairs with a little help and does not experience any pain from this! She really doesn’t let anything get in her way and is a joy to be around.
Helen is house trained and has been spayed, had a dental cleaning, and is up to date on all her shots. This courageous girl is looking for an adventure buddy who will appreciate her zest for life and help her continue to grow stronger.
