Sara is an 8-month old shih tzu mix that has already won the heart of her neighborhood. She is gentle, quirky and playful. She loves her toys and is known to hoard stuffed animals, chewing bones and balls in her bed. She thinks that squeaky toys are the best, especially when her foster parents are trying to watch tv. She also loves to play with her humans and shows her excitement by waving her paws in the air and making « Chewbacca like » sounds. She would do well with children of all ages as she is gentle and relatively calm, except when zoomies take over.
Sara looks forward to her walks and does very well on leash. Being a puppy, she is still building her endurance so is not yet ready for look hikes (unless you bring a pet carrier). She loves meeting and playing with other dogs and would make a perfect buddy for a dog of similar size and energy level. She has perfected play bowing. She has made great strides in learning to respect the personal space of other dogs.
Sara has also improved her house training and does very well under supervision. She is crate-trained and quickly relaxes in her bed for the night. She takes her role of guardian very seriously and will let those who dare to walk by know that she is watching. She is therefore not a good candidate for an apartment or a condo.
Sara is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccination.
