Meet Nora! Looking for a playful, cuddly companion who will bring endless joy to your life? Nora might just be your perfect match! This sweet girl absolutely adores people and other dog friends. Whether it’s playing with toys, chasing after squirrels, or just enjoying a good run, she’s always ready for an adventure. She’s a big fan of walks and will happily keep up with you, whether you’re strolling through the neighborhood or exploring a new trail.
At home, Nora is a bundle of affection. She’s not much of a beggar, but she’ll melt your heart with her gentle way of accepting treats. She’s also well behaved and housetrained. When it’s time to rest, she’s used to sleeping in her crate and will settle down easily for the night.
However, like any dog, Nora has her quirks. She can be reactive towards other dogs on walks or when watching them through the window. Her strong prey drive means she might find it hard to resist the urge to chase, so a home with a large fenced in yard would be ideal. Nora loves her small chihuahua/terrier mix foster sister. They love to cuddle & play together all day. Nora is untested with cats, but because of her prey drive, would likely be best suited in a home without any. Nora is a little unsure about young kids. She can be somewhat apprehensive and anxious around young kids because of their unpredictability, so we think that Nora would be best in a home where the kids are around 10+ years old.
Nora has some mild allergies that are kept at bay with a common medication called Apoquel, which helps prevent itching. These may just be seasonal allergies and not an issue during the winter, but since Nora only arrived from Antigua this April, we can’t be sure just yet!
Despite these little challenges, Nora is an incredible dog with so much love to give. She’s responsive when called and has so much potential to thrive in a loving, understanding home that is willing to work with her on her reactivity on leash and her allergy issues.
