Hello there! My name is Hot-dog. I’m a young puppy and it’s true, I was found in a dumpster when I was just a wee wiener. Yes! I know! I’m outraged too, but I’m not letting it define me though. I am brave, curious and confident. My foster sister is a much bigger puppy than me, and she was scared of me at first! Now we play like I am her size! I am being crate trained and house trained, but I still have pee mats nearby because I’m still pretty small. I can hold it in while I’m in my crate though. I like to sleep there, it’s nice and cozy! I even sleep through the night!
I’m a puppy so, I am cute and cuddly and sleep a lot. If I can, I like to climb on your lap and fall asleep. I like being close to my human so it only takes me minutes to snooze off. That being said, I am teething so I try to get little nibbles of fingers but my foster family is teaching me that nibbles are for toys and not for fingers. Boo. They also teach me to sit and wait before I can eat my food, because otherwise I am right in there before the bowl even hits the floor. That’s right, I am suuuper food motivated, and respond very well to training with my kibble as rewards! I also love being told I’m a good girl and find praise super nice!
Like I said earlier, I am very confident and curious. My prey drive is fairly high, and walking on leash is pretty hard for me. If you have a fenced back yard though, watch me zoom right past! And then back again! And back again!
