Hi my name is Wyatt and I’m a Newfoundland mix. I’m a big boy and very well aware of my size!
My foster parents say I’m a real gentleman, always waiting to be invited to go in or outside and know all the basic commands. Walks and car rides are the highlight of my days, especially when I can stick my head out the car window!
DO NOT let my size fool you – I can have quite the spring in my step on walks, especially now the temperature is more to my liking. My leash manners are good and I don’t pull. I only bark if there is a reason to do so and I stop when asked to.
Drooling usually only happens when there is food about to be had.
My prey drive and love for wandering on my own really does limit my off leash fun. My foster parents only let me off the leash when the area is fully fenced in.
I get along with most other dogs unless it is a male dog my size and I get challenged. My foster sister has shown me how to play gently. I’m a gentle old soul and really just need my perfect retirement home!
I do have Lyme disease. But, I am asymptomatic and only require monitoring for symptoms and yearly testing.
Wyatt is up to date on all core vaccinations and is neutered.
