Thor is a giant love bug who loves everyone he meets! He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, but will need a couple of nights to adjust in a new home. He is fine in the crate all day while his foster humans are at work. He is not destructive or disruptive at all and will sleep soundly through the night on his dog bed or in his crate. Thor almost never barks. He is on a chicken-free diet and takes a daily apoquel for his allergies.
Thor LOVES cats and really wants to play with them, so he will chase. After some patient introductions and redirects, he co-exists politely with his foster cat sister in the house. Outside the house is a different story as he has high prey drive, especially for bunnies. Thor also loves all other dogs and is very well socialized. He is an ideal dog park dog, but only at fenced parks as his recall is still a work in progress. Thor is very high energy. He does pull on leash, especially if he sees other dogs. A harness and continued work on the heel command will be essential for success. He knows sit, lie down, and to wait for a release command before eating his food. He is also very, very attached to his people. He will likely pick one family member and follow them absolutely everywhere like a shadow. He does think that he is a little lap dog and will climb right into your lap on the couch.
Overall, he’s handsome, friendly, snuggly, confident, and goofy. As long as he gets daily exercise, he is an absolute breeze of a dog.
