Name: Loki Poki
Age: 3 years
Breed: Boxer mix
Meet Loki, a 3 year old boxer mix boy who is getting the chance to finally be a dog. This 48lb sweetheart loves kids and loves to show affection. He is still young and has energy to play and would do well with an active family.
He has integrated well with his foster family’s dog and understands he’s not the alpha.
Loki knows some basic commands like come, sit and down. He’s a smart inquisitive dog that would do well with some training and lots of exercise to fine-tune his manners. He has been known to counter surf and take food when left unattended and although he is housetrained, he has had a couple of accidents when separated from his family. He is used to a crate so best for him to be left in a crate when alone.
Loki is shy and does have a protective instinct, so he needs slow intros and time to warm up to strangers. He will bark if someone comes to the door but is otherwise a quiet dog.
He walks well on a leash but is very curious of his surroundings and will pull if he sees squirrels, rabbits or other dogs so the proper harness works best. He is very interested in meeting other dogs and a home with no cats is best. A family that will be able to continue to work on his insecurities and manners will be essential.
Loki is a little underweight and is slowly working put some weight on. He also recently underwent a partial tail amputation. He suffers from allergies and is taking medication that has helped a lot with his symptoms.
Loki loves snuggling, chew toys and car rides and can’t wait to meet his new forever family!
Loki is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered.
