My name is Roland and I’m a 4 year old Rottie who might also be part kangaroo. I have a tendency to jump and “box” when I play, so patient and larger playmates will be important in my furever home. I get along with everyone furry and two legged, big and small. My tail nub never stops wagging and I’m always happy and smiling.
I’m a smart boy that knows my name, sit, down and come, but I also get easily distracted and can sometimes instantly forget what I was asked to do. I love to go for walks and only pull sometimes when I’m excited. I respond well to the belly leash in these situations. I am good in the car, but can sometimes get stressed out if I don’t know where we’re going.
I don’t do well with change and new situations. It causes me a lot of anxiety. So a new family with lots of routine and structure would be my dream! I do well in off leash situations because I grow very attached to my people and never want to wander too far away from them. I’m great to nap throughout the day while you work, but I do snore- LOUDLY and OFTEN!
At the end of the day, my favourite thing to do is curl up on the couch with you. I’m crate trained and house trained, but I was recently neutered so I may still mark in new homes. I also do well outside of the crate once I feel I’m in a safe environment. I love bath time and brushing, but not too fond of having my nails done, so we will have to work together on that. It’s getting cold outside, lets get to cuddling to keep warm!
