Hi there! I’m Zuko, a healthy 7-month-old AmBull mix with a heart of gold. I’m happy to make friends with everyone – people, kids, other dogs and even cats! Although sometimes I get excited and jump up to try and give kisses, so I need to learn to be careful around little kids and small dogs.
I get along great with my foster sister and love to play and run, but once I’m tired, I also appreciate my quiet sleep time. I still have my puppy energy and get excited and jumpy sometimes, but I am extremely even tempered and easy to get along with. I’m also great on a leash and don’t pull much, although sometimes I like to stop and admire the scenery, so I need to be encouraged to keep walking. I almost never bark, I only give little woofs when I hear noises at night or if I’m trying to get your attention.
I’m not totally house trained, I still have a few accidents here and there, but with a little more time, patience, and encouragement, I’ll get it in no time. I’m new to crate training, and cry for the first while, but I settle down after a little bit. I’m not crated at night, but I sleep deeply and have no interest in wandering. I just really love to be patted, cuddled and to keep you company wherever you are.
In just a few weeks I’ve learned lots of new tricks like sit, lay down and give paw. I’m still working on “wait” but come on, I really want that treat. I also have great recall.
I’m really looking for a home with someone who will walk me multiple times a day, pet me lots and will continue to teach me to understand my own strength and size. I can’t wait to make more friends!
