Hi my name is Pogo. I’m looking for my forever home with a big fenced yard and squirrels sprinkled around because I just love to chase them and stare at them out the patio door.
I like attention and cuddles and if you don’t give me enough I’ll take it upon myself to just come sit on you. I’ve had a pretty traumatic experience in the past and will need an experienced home that is calm, who will observe my body language and respect my boundaries. I don’t like children and I don’t like to be picked up – period. I jump in the car no problem and will wrestle with you but just don’t pick me up, it makes me panic and feel like I have to defend myself. I’ve come a long way trusting my foster mom and with continued desensitization I may get over the fear of being picked up, but my new family will have to be patient with me.
I’m a pretty quiet dog in the house but will cry if I want something like more attention or the food you’re eating. I love walks and I get so excited by them. I also really really like to play with toys. I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes no personal space here. I’m house trained and go automatically in my crate when it’s bed time.
