Hi! My name is Brando.
I am a 1 year old Dachshund mixed breed all the way from Texas! I LOVE to cuddle, and I am the sweetest, calmest little boy you’ll ever meet! Some things about me: I know to do my business outside and have only had a few accidents at my foster parents’ place in the 6 weeks that I have been here.
When my foster parents go out to run errands or to the office, I go into my crate because I sometimes like to chew on things when left unattended (but I am easily distracted by a toy instead, you just have to keep an eye on me). I can be vocal for the first few minutes when I am in my crate, but I eventually settle down and snooze until my foster parents are back at home. Otherwise, I will bark to alert them if someone is at the door, or if there is a dog (or squirrel) I want to meet while we are on our walks.
Speaking of walks, I do tend to pull a little on my leash, but I am getting better as I am still just getting used to it! I am medium energy – I love to go on long walks and love to run around at the park, but I also LOVE to curl up on your lap and snuggle. So far, I have gotten along well with every dog or person I have met (even little ones!), but I am untested with cats. I would spend the entire day running around and play fighting with my foster sister if I could. I know how to sit and give paw! I am highly food motivated and a quick learner – I can’t wait to learn all kinds of new tricks at my ‘furever’ home!
