My name is Penny and I’m an 8-year-old golden retriever waiting to find my furever home. I can’t wait to be by your side as one of the most loyal loving dogs. I’m well trained, gentle, friendly and love people. The most important thing to me is that I want to be close by to you all day and night…yep, I will love you that much. I do have some anxiety and a tendency to bark and whine when I’m home alone so having someone at home all day will be a priority for me.
I love walks and am ok on a leash but do like to pull sometimes especially when I see a squirrel. I love off leash walks and stay close by.
I am overweight and have been on a strict diet and exercise plan. It will be important for my new family to keep me going on regular walks as well as make sure I follow a fairly strict diet so I maintain my weight loss. I have already lost over 12lbs with my foster family because of the good food and exercise I have been experiencing.
A home with minimal stairs would be ideal for me as I have a lot of uncertainty around stairs.
I’m ok with other dogs and I think I would be ok with cats and I’m friendly with kids…pretty much love everyone.
I am up to date on vaccinations and was spayed in early September.
