My name is Papi and I am an 8 year old golden retriever, looking for my forever home.
I am the most calm dog you will ever meet. I love being in the same room as you, relaxing on the floor. I know basic commands, and I’m very food driven so it’s easy to teach me things. Since being with my foster family I’ve learned to shake a paw and am working on “stay”.
I don’t mind being left home alone for a bit, I just sleep and don’t get into any trouble. I love (LOVE!) going on walks, but since I’m still learning to respond to my name I’m not allowed off leash.
I get along with kids and dogs, but I’m a bit too curious and excitable around cats. Because I’m an older boy, I would prefer a home that is quiet and doesn’t have too many stairs.
Papi has a mass at the bottom of his oesophagus. It hasn’t grown but can give him occasional diarrhea and vomiting.
His forever home will need to have him get periodic x-rays to monitor this.

Papi is up to date on vaccinations and neutered.
Papi is a compassionate adoption, so there will be no fee so as to offset the cost of the x-rays.
