Meet your potential new sidekick, Francesca!
Francesca will be your companion wherever you go – just make sure she has a soft place to nap, and she’s happy! A bit timid and shy to new experiences, Francesca is really coming out of her shell and she is a very happy and affectionate girl who likes to flop on the floor and ask for belly rubs. She already learned how to sit and is working on other commands as she gets more comfortable.
She is housetrained and non-destructive when left at home with free range (this clever girl doesn’t like to be left alone in the crate and can figure out how to escape and open doors…even from the inside!). She gently lets you know that she would prefer to sleep in your bed with you at night, but is fine going in her crate to sleep as long as you’re nearby.
Francesca is a dream to walk on a leash and does really well at the dog park. Like many of us, she gets a tiny bit overwhelmed with big dogs in her space and she lets them know she’s not comfortable. She is also working on becoming more comfortable with men and strangers, especially when it comes to eating near them and going to do her business in the yard. Francesca would not do well in a home with children as she gets defensive with too many quick movements – she needs you to take your time with a slow approach.
Once she trusts you, Francesca is the sweetest girl, and she is such a joy to watch as she learns that there’s so much for her to experience in the big world (like cheese!).
