Hi everyone, My name is Gingersnap and I’m a super fun, smart and loving German Shepherd Pup.

I have a condition called “megaesophagus”…worst super hero name EVER!! What this means is that I have great difficulty swallowing. I need to be fed sitting upright and then stay upright for 15 minutes or so after each of my 3 meals/day. (google “Bailey Chair” for a visual of this process)

Despite this, I am a 100% normal, fun, goofy, fantastic dog!! I love walks, car rides, playing with dogs (any dogs…all dogs!!) and toys, and snuggling with anyone willing!! I basically love everyone… except squirrels. They just can’t be trusted.

I am fully crate trained and actually choose to go in my crate to play with toys and take naps. I’m super happy in my crate and even sleep in it overnight. I do prefer to sleep in the same room as my people though. I’m 99.4% house trained and will ring the bell to go outside. (secret: sometimes I ring the bell just to go out and play!!)

I also know a few basic commands and LOVE learning new stuff, so I’m hoping for an active home with an engaged owner that will challenge my mind and help me grow. I absolutely need another dog in the home to help me burn all my energy and have fun with all day long, and I’d be fine with kids of any age. I’ve never met a cat, so I’m not sure about those.

I can’t wait to find my new family!
