Howdy, y’all! My name is Butters and I’ve travelled all the way from Texas to find my furever home!
When I arrived at my foster home, I was very shy, timid and afraid of EVERYTHING! Over the past few weeks, I have come a long way! I now respond to my name, I can sit with some food incentives and I have mastered the stairs. I am also getting a lot better walking on a leash, but I can be a bit distracted by other dogs and people because I just want to meet everyone! I am also crate trained and don’t have accidents in the house.
The really big news is that my friendly and affectionate side has come out, as I am now bouncing around like the happy-go-lucky gal that I was meant to be. I love being around my foster family, especially when I get endless chin and tummy rubs. Chew toys are the best! Shoes are not chew toys, so I am told. I have learned a lot from my foster brother too, and take his lead at times, so another dog in the house would be great. If not, I will need to be socialized with other dogs. Although, I am coming out of my shell, all the new noises I hear still make me a little scared, but I am still working on it. Do you think you could be this southern belle’s furever home?
