Hello, my name is Tanner and I’m an 8 year old Hound/Lab mix, although the Vet says I have Rottweiler in me. My favorite pastime is playing frisbee; I can do this for hours. I walk well on leash but sometimes I do pull. I’m not fond of other dogs, so I will need some training on how to accept them without being afraid. I am a grazer, however, if you leave food on the counter, I might help myself to it so please do not leave anything out until I learn the food is not for me. I love to sleep. My foster Mom say’s I’m not a morning dog and when she has to go to work, I don’t want to wake up, but I have to do my business before foster mom goes to work…then straight back to sleep for me! Sitting outside in the sun is an ideal day for me until my foster Dad comes home and we go to the park to play frisbee. I LOVE humans, I’m gentle and a cuddle bug. I’m affectionate and just love hanging out with you. I shake both paws and know how to sit. I’m food motivated so easy to train. I’m strong so being in a home with older children is best, I wouldn’t want to accidently knock a little one down. Because I’m not great with other dogs, I would need be the only dog. A country setting with a fenced yard would be best for me as my recall is getting there but not perfect yet. If I’m sitting outside with you, I love catching mosquitos. I’ll do for hours, so don’t worry about all those fancy mosquito traps, I’ll take care of them for you. I do have some allergies and am currently on Apoquel to help with the itching. If you’re looking for a buddy, who will snuggle, hug and just love everything about you, I’m the dog for you. Will you adopt me?
