ADOPTED – CASSEROLE – 10 MONTH OLD RIDGEBACK MIX

HI! My name is Casserole, but my foster parents call me Cassie. I am a 10 month old Ridgeback mix and I came all the way from Texas to find my forever home.

I am a little scared and timid at first but I warm up to new people and dogs quickly. With each new encounter I gain more confidence in meeting new people and to play with other dogs. I already do my business outside, but sometimes I get so distracted by walks and all the smells that I have to go to the bathroom in the backyard when I get home. It also affords me more privacy and fewer distractions. I am walked 3-4 times a day. In the morning, evening and night I get a 20 – 30 minute walk and I take a small 5-10 minute walk with my foster mom at work. I am not particularly fond of walking right now. I tend to stop often to smell things or observe people/animals or weird sounds. My foster parents get a little impatient sometimes, but hey, they should stop and smell the roses.

I am generally very quiet as I do not have much to say. People knock on a door or I hear a bell sometimes and I couldn’t care less for it. When I first came into my foster home, I did howl a little early in the morning, but I am over my fear now and know I will see my foster parents when they wake up. I do a quiet whine every so often, especially at the office, sometimes people walk by and don’t even pet me… I mean what else are they there for?

I do like to play with toys a little and will chew on Mr. Moo every so often, but really I am content to sleep near my humans and receive lots of cuddles and pets. I even ran a little beside my foster mum recently, but it was short lived.

I am enjoying kibble for my meals. I am fed 2 times a day, but I graze at my leisure. I enjoy treats every so often and will sit for them. My foster parents keep grabbing my paws recently, but I just don’t get what they are trying to do.

My only request for my forever home? No cats please. I just can’t stand them.
