Hi! My name is Sam…Buddy, for short.

I am fully house trained and enjoy 3–4 walks a day that last about 20-30 minutes. I especially love my walks. I tug a bit when I walk but wearing a harness helps a bit. On my walks, I love meeting the neighbourhood dogs. Once I greet them I love to receive pets from their humans.

I am a very active dog. Besides my walks, I enjoy playing fetch and with puzzle toys. I tend to destroy stuffed toys so my foster parents have stuck to tougher toys. I have a lot of fur and do shed, but I lie patiently by my foster parents as they brush me. I am ok with loud noises so my foster parents are able to use the vacuum while brushing me.

I am quiet when I am with my humans, but I do get anxious and can become a little whiney when one of them leave home. With verbal reassurance I quiet down after a couple minutes. When I am left alone, I cry a little and scratch at the door, but I can be left alone for a little while as I am not destructive.

I have a bit of COVID weight so I am on diet food and exercise. I am able to give both of my paws, sit and lie down. I also listen very well to my foster parents. They say I am a good boy and have such a cute face.
