Hi, my name is Monty and I am a 2 1/2 year old bundle of cuddles. I have been told I have Chihuahua, Miniature Pincher and Dachshund in my heritage. I like to play with my toys and snuggle. I have spent short durations of time in my crate and with my blanket and stuffies, and I fall right asleep. At night I love to cuddle with my family and am happiest under the blankets where I can keep warm. I love going for walks and exploring with my foster family. When I am on a leash I tell all the other dogs in the neighbourhood that I am a large dog trapped in a small dog body and they better keep an eye out for me. Off leash, I enjoy meeting other dogs. I have met a number of children and they give me lovely pats. I have not met any cats so I do not know if I would like them or not. I tend to eat every meal like it is my last, but I learned to to be patient and the words “leave it”, “look at me”, and “wait” for the “ok” to dig in. I am not supposed to eat anything other than my prescribed food, but I hover up crumbs to help the family clean. I am quiet around the house and happy to meet people who come to the door or back yard. I save my barking for when I am on my walks or driving in the car. Will you be my furever family?
