Bonjour! My name is Yan and I am from Montreal where I learned French and how to beg at the table. I can sit pretty and wave so skillfully that most humans cannot resist my cuteness. My foster family is teaching me a few English words and I am enjoying my own bowl of kibbles. I am a sweet 9 year old male Shih Tzu Mix with still quite a bit of energy for plays and long walks. I am perfectly trained to use peepad so that you can sleep in but I also do my business outside. I am trusted in my foster home to be uncrated even when left alone. I can rest in my own bed but I don’t mind sharing yours too ! I am usually a quiet guy but I will talk when someone is at the door or when I just want your attention. I may whine occasionally too if I feel anxious. I usually stop all this talking and whining if I don’t get what I want. I love walks and I walk nicely on leash until I have to log in to stop at certain trees or poles to exchange messages with my fellow doggie pals. I also love to meet people and greet other dogs. I am learning to walk by most of them when I am told but sometimes I may whine a little to let you know that I really want to get close and say hello. I have not been close to any little kids or cats yet so I do not know how I would react. I will need some time to trust someone to touch some of my body parts or to take my toys. I have been known to give you a warning but when I trust you, I will stop. I can also get over excited when playing with toys and other dogs. I would do best in a calm home without young children and be the only dog. Could it be yours? Love, Yan
