Hi, my name is Beefcake (aka Beefy). I am a 1.5 to 2 year old male Hound Mix from Texas. I love being with my foster family and I give them lots of kisses and my tail never stops wagging. I am crate-trained and sleep in my crate at night and will go in during the day when I want some quiet time. I am still pretty skinny, so I like wearing my sweater when I go for walks, my foster family says that I am calm and easy to dress. I am also a pretty quiet dog, I hardly ever bark – even when someone knocks at the door. But I will bark if you leave me alone because I would rather be with my people. So, someone home with me most of the time would be really good for me. I still need some work on house-training so I’ll need to be with someone who can put in some time to train me, my foster family says I am pretty smart and I am learning quickly. I love going for walks, but sometimes I get scared by other dogs, people or by loud vehicles, so make sure you hold on to the leash. I would be best in a home with another well-balanced and friendly dog. A well enclosed yard is important because I will try to squeeze through any small openings.
