ADOPTED – MR. SMITHERS – 10-11 YEAR OLD SHIH TZU

Mr. Smithers is an adorable and loving Shih Tzu mix who is approximately 10-11 years old. Even though he is mostly deaf, this doesn’t slow him down one bit and he will stay near his people while off leash in a field. He has great stamina on long walks and often bounces down the road with great enthusiasm. He enjoys playing with his toys and loves belly rubs.

While initially timid, his personality has emerged over time. It is obvious that he came from a home where he was a member of the family. He enjoys car rides and generally hanging around his people. He loves being petted and getting belly rubs, but is not needy. It has been easy to figure out his simple wants, such as a blanket to lie on so he can be near you. His favourite thing during the day is to find the patch of sunshine and curl up and sleep. At dinner time, he stares intently at you as you prepare dinner, but he is not directly underfoot.

He is a calm, friendly dog who is totally fine with other dogs that he has met. Occasionally, he can be heard barking or growling at the chipmunks outside. He is well behaved when left alone during the day.

Smithers is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered.
