AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION – Bailey’s eye has healed so well and he is ready to find his Furever home! This little guy is the bomb – he’s sweet, playful, good with dogs and cats and kids. He’s house and crate trained. He was frightened of most everything when he arrived but is now a little social butterfly. He does have one flaw – he likes his high value treats (rawhide, dentastix) a little too much and will sometimes protect them if you try to take them. He has gotten SO much better since coming into care and once you gain his trust he will give them up most of the time. He is learning “drop it” very well but still has his moments. At one year old he is very trainable and has shown he’s quick to learn, he just needs someone with the patience to continue showing that sharing is ok. He is being fostered with 3 other dogs and 2 kids, with no incidents, though the kids are very respectful and know not to bother him with his treats. He has no guarding issues with his food at all and everyone is able to put their hands in his bowl and the dogs can eat close together (sometimes from the same bowl). Bailey can bark when he’s excited so a detached home is best and he would really LOVE to have another small playful dog in his new home.
How You Can Help
Helping Ottawa Dog Rescue meet it’s goals is EASY – you can look into:
- our “Foster Program“
- our “Virtual Fostering Program“
- “Adopting“
or simply by making a donation.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Ottawa Dog Rescue (also known as O-Town Dog Rescue) is a federally registered non-profit organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.
Our team of volunteers and our Board of Directors have one goal, and one goal only - to help match the dogs that come through our doors with the most loving foster and adoptive homes possible.
We look forward to helping you find the dog you want to give a "furever home" to.
