Pippa is a 10 year old puppy mill dog who was left at the gassing pound after she was no longer useful to the mill owners. She came in scared and nervous with a mouth full of rotten teeth. She has received a dental and had to have all of her teeth extracted. She is happier and much more comfortable with them removed. Pippa is a sweet and gentle little dog who actively seeks out affection. She enjoys exploring the backyard but finds walks to be quite stressful. The noise of the traffic scares her and she has no idea how to walk on a leash. This will all get better in time but will require some patience and guidance.
Pippa is housetrained and is happy to go into her crate at night for sleeping. She is fine with other dogs and although she hasn’t been cat tested, we would imagine she would be fine with them as well. Pippa would do best in a suburban or country home where there isn’t a ton of traffic and noise. Pippa also requires a fenced backyard. She would be fine with kids who are older and who can understand that she has been through a lot in her life. She needs slow movements and time to feel safe and secure.
Pippa will be ready to be spayed in a few weeks but we would like to have her settled in her forever home by then. ODR will cover the cost of the surgery and will book it at our vet clinic.
