Chewy came in to the shelter as a stray and is a wiggly ball of love.  He is working on housetraining and has made good progress while in care, and he loves to go on short walks with his much bigger foster fur brother and sister and is also very good with the cat. He’s pretty chill for a puppy and super affectionate.   Potential adopters should be aware that his back legs have deformities that may result in issues later in life (pain, arthritis etc.) but they currently do not slow him down at all nor is he in any pain. He has had an orthopaedic consult and they have recommended no intervention based on his x-rays and physical exam. He is very mobile, can jump in and out of the car, on and off the couch and run up and down the stairs.  Moving forward it is recommended that he have shorter walks, take glucosamine and chondroitin for his joints but for the most part he will self- regulate his activity – there is no reason to think he won’t have a long happy life.  Chewy is neutered, dewormed and up-to-date on vaccinations and his adoption fee is $400
