Monte was a stray that found himself in the gassing pound before coming to Ottawa Dog Rescue. He has exhibited no behavioural issues in care other than needing work on housetraining.  He is super affectionate and loves everyone, big and small alike. He seems to understand his basic commands of sit, shake, lie down and stay – but understands them better when there are treats involved! He is very friendly and playful with other dogs; he has very limited experience with cats and he was intrigued but not aggressive. He is generally quiet in the home but can be vocal when he gets excited and wants to play. He is crating very well and sleeps through the night, though he is a bit anxious at first, he settles quickly. He loves to chew on bones or to play with puzzle toys. He walks well with the help of a harness and he also enjoys car rides. He loves to cuddle and is super keen to fall asleep on your lap. As with any puppy, he will need exercise, patience in regards to house training and boundaries. Monte will be up to date on vaccinations and neutered, his adoption fee is $400
