Hoss came to Ottawa Dog Rescue from the shelter because he is a BIG boy who needs to lose a bit of weight. He is currently 130 pounds of love, and though he has a large dog with a stocky build, he needs a home that will work on his weight loss with a healthy diet and exercise.  He is such a calm and sweet dog who is great with everyone and every dog. He is gentle and wonderful with children.  He walks well on leash, and is not a big barker though he will let you know when someone comes to the door.  He is so chill that his foster mom can vacuum all around him and he doesn’t even flinch.  He also just wants to be wherever his people are.  He will follow you around the house and lay down and wait for you.  He is house trained and so far is non-destructive when left loose alone. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky!  His hip and knee and are bit sore on one side but this is suspected to be due to his weight and the vet expects it to improve with glucosamine supplements as he sheds those pounds. Hoss is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and his adoption fee is $400.
