This amazingly sweet senior is Blossom. She is an approx. 4lbs Maltese mix that was left in a box outside a Quebec gassing pound with a note that said “Free” and listed her age as 15 yrs old. Luckily for Blossom (we named her, there was no name given) a rescue assessor happened to be there and reached out to us and we said yes – we just couldn’t let her die that way. The amazing volunteers at Freedom Drivers got her to us the next day and one of our fabulous fosters helped her feel so much better with a shave, nail trim and bath. She will be a compassionate adoption, and if she’s not able to be adopted out we will give her love and comfort for her final days.
She is eating well, but her teeth/mouth are horrible. Her breath will knock you over but she wants to give kisses so badly. She has cataracts but can still see, she may be losing her hearing and is a bit wobbly but she is alert and enjoys her walks down the street. She loves to snuggle up and sleep in your arms and seems housetrained (pee pads as well).
If you would like to help contribute towards Blossoms vet bills we would be grateful for any help. Donations can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by eTransfer or Paypal. Any amount over $20.01 is eligible for a tax receipt upon request.
